There’s no shortage of Star Wars news as of late with The Last Jedi arriving in theaters in less than one month, the new stand-alone Han Solo film coming next spring, and (of course) the new Star Wars lands heading to Disneyland and Walt Disney World in the coming years.
Disney revealed the name of the remote planet that Guests will be transported to in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Get ready to travel to the distance planet of Batuu (not to be confused with Jakku), a trading post and crossroads of the Outer Rim. This is no doubt the beginning of exciting announcements coming from a galaxy far, far, away.
On top of the reveal of Batuu, Guests visiting Disneyland and the Walt Disney World resort will get their first look at this brand new planet on Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s a nice sneak peek at what we can expect when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge finally opens at the Disney Parks.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is scheduled to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019.
Are you headed to Disney World any time soon? Will you check out Star Tours’ sneak peek of Batuu? Are you pumped for the Star Wars addition to Hollywood Studios? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
