November 2017: 8 Video Game Releases You Need To Know About

Another fall month, another onslaught of AAA games to pad the growing backlist. The end of October saw the release of chart topping games and it seems as though November is picking right off with some massive games.  

November brings some much anticipated first person shooters, Sonic’s second game in a series reboot, and some great third party support for the Nintendo Switch. Let’s get into it!

Call of Duty: WW2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One) – November 3

Battlefield One brought the recent future first-person shooter to World War 1 and now the Sledgehammer team is taking Call of Duty to World War 2. This game will focus on the Western Front of the war and the 1st Infantry Division. The multiplayer for this game will be expansive and will cover both the European and Pacific theaters of the war. Join the fight on November 3rd.

Sonic Forces  (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch) – November 7

3D Sonic has always been a sore subject with only of handful of great games. The release of Sonic Mania over the summer shows that Sonic Team knows what fans wanted from a 2D Sonic and that there is hope for this new 3D installment. One unique feature is that players can create their own character in the style of the blue hedgehog. Go fast on November 7th.

Doom (Switch) – November 10

Doom? Yep! Still 2017? Yep! The remake of the classic hyper-violent shooter for modern consoles is making it’s way to the Nintendo Switch. This is a big move for the Home of Mario and really opens up the door for more 3rd party games to get on the new blockbuster console. Fight through a hellish Mars-scape on the go November 10th.

L.A. Noire (PS4, Xbox One, Switch) – November 14

The developer that brought us Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar, is remastering their Noire Classic for modern systems, including the Nintendo Switch. Enjoy the narrative crime drama set in Los Angeles in 1947. Players take control of a LAPD officer, Cole Phelps, as he solves cases across five different departments. Get on the case gumshoe on November 14th.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch) – November 14

Take control of one of the largest teams of Marvel’s super heroes with Traveller’s Tales Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, including Iron Duck (Howard the Duck in Iron Man’s armor). There is heroes from the newest movies and comic books, like Spider Gwen and Gladiator Hulk from Thor: Ragnarok. Do not miss this adventure of epic proportions on November 14th.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One) – November 17

Jump back into the most cinematic take on Star Wars battles, arguably better than the film representations, with Star Wars Battlefront 2 by EA Dice. Play in all three trilogies of the Star Wars saga and with the promise of more maps and modes then the first game launched with. There is a full featured single player storyline in the game, which was a sorely missing for the first game. Play the game that may finally redeem the prequels on November 17th.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon (3DS) – November 17

Return to Aloha region in this sequel to the most recent main series Pokemon games. This game is rumored to be the last of the 3DS games as the next mainline game is in development on the Switch. Take your turn to nab all 802 Pokemon on your 3DS on November 17th.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp (Android, iOS) – November

The Animal Crossing series is a no brainer for mobile, and this November make a the most popular campground and collect all the bells you can in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Nintendo has several great attempts on mobile so far and it looks like this will be another slam dunk. Hopefully it will tie into a future Switch title.
