Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age

Platform: PC

Travel back to the world of Ivalice with this remaster of an oldie but a goodie. Already released on PS4, Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age brings a ton of new things to the table for PC. Besides a high definition soundtrack which allows you to switch between albums on the fly, it also offers 60 frames per second rendering and immediate access to post game modes. The Zodiac aspect of the game comes from the new licenses that you obtain, and each license corresponds with a Zodiac Sign and job.

Shadow of the Colossus is a beautiful retelling of the 2005 game of the same name. Join Wander and his horse Argo as they venture through the forbidden land to revive a maiden named Mono. Wander must vanquish all sixteen Colossi in order to return his beloved’s soul. The artwork for this game is absolutely stunning with its simplistic designs, and it is a must-play for any Playstation owner.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Now If I’m being completely honest, I haven’t been keeping up with gaming as much as I used to. However, doing some much needed research, I stumbled upon this little gem: Kingdom Come: Deliverance. This game looks like a Skyrim, Dragon Age, Dragon’s Dogma hybrid, and it looks fun as hell. It takes place during 1403 in the medieval kingdom of Bohemia, and not only will the game be historically accurate, but it will also have a realistic use system. What this means is this: wearing a piece of clothing will start looking dingy and dirty the longer you wear it, weapons will break down over time, and food in your storage will spoil. Fighting and exploring is in first person, whereas talking takes place in third person and uses a dialogue branching system where actions and reactions will depend on your choices. The fighting system is very similar to Skyrim, and you can change weapons on the fly if you decide to go from a bow to a broadsword. The world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance is also open, so take your time and explore at your leisure. The game even has a realistic needs system, which means your character needs to eat, sleep,  and probably shower. This is the one game that has piqued my interest in a long time, and I’m very curious to see how it plays. I’ve chosen Kingdom Come: Deliverance as my Pick of the Month.

The first Metal Gear game since Kojima left Konami, Metal Gear Survive is about Big Boss, Kazuhira Miller, and the Militaires Sans Frontières soldiers being sucked into a wormhole to a world run by crystal-zombies. The mission is simple: survive. Have no fear,  you can also play with up to three friends, and together you can kill zombies, gather materials, and explore this warped alternate world.
