BOOKS: 5 Scifi and Fantasy Releases for December

The end of the year is generally slower for book releases as a whole, and the scifi and fantasy genres are no exception to that. This month has some new Star Wars, some new Alice in Wonderland, and a new novel in The Expanse series. The Girl In The Tower by Katherine Arden– December 5
Both Booklist and Publishers Weekly offered starred reviews of Arden’s second book in her Winternight Trilogy. Vasilisa, the series heroine, has magic gifts. When she is forced from her rural village for being a Witch, Vasilisa disguises herself and heads to Moscow, and her travels even involve the Russian Royal family. This fantasy trilogy finds its inspiration in the rich world of Russian fairy tales.
