Gotham: They Who Hide Behind Masks Review

Gotham continues to get weirder and weirder this season and I am HERE FOR IT.

This episode, we get a deeper look into Barbara’s burgeoning arms dealing business and her sassy new statement bob. She is, at least on the surface, becoming quite successful and it is driving Penguin insane. He is desperately trying to figure out who her financial backer is.

Meanwhile, Jim seeks out help from everyone’s favorite mob boss Carmine Falcone, to help bring order back to the underworld of Gotham. Unsurprisingly, things take a bit of a turn on his trip.

Bruce is continuing his journey of self discovery and testing out his skills and new armor with help from Alfred. Naturally, they butt heads on how to best carry out each plan, but regardless their relationship is stronger than ever. A new Ra’s al Ghul related wrinkle emerges, and they devise a rather humorous plan to deal with it. SHOCKINGLY, yet another new wrinkle emerges.

And all the while, another friend from the past makes an unexpected return, and now nothing is certain.  Clearly, the sense of uneasiness that has been permeating the city is getting close to boiling over.

Final Score: 7/10

+Return of one of my favorite characters

+Getting to see Falcone again, who I have always found interesting

+Finally getting some Barbara related answers

 – A bit of a slower moving episode compared to the previous two, with lots of exposition.  Hopefully next week is a return to a faster pace
