A Cable provider that looks to finally pay off, plus revivals for King of the Hill, Twilight, and The Hunger Games. It’s The Week In Geek!
The world of Geek has its slow periods, where as media members, it feels we can grasp for anything we can find. Then, it all hits at once. This week was no exception!
Fox is rumored to be bringing back one of its most successful animated shows of all time in King of the Hill. Having left the airwaves in 2010, fans are ready for a return. It sounds like Fox might be ready too.
In what might be the most peculiar news of the week, two franchises that fell victim to the good ole “too much too soon” strategy might be on their way back. Lionsgate is apparently interested in creating new iterations of the Twilight and Hunger Games franchises. Or, at least spinoffs. Yikes. Well, $3 billion would do that to anyone.
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi news is starting to build week by week. This week, we got 15 new photos for the film that show off what seems like a bunch of juicy details. With Force Friday right around the corner, the hype train is leaving the station.
Not to be outdone, Ryan Reynolds gave us some much needed Deadpool 2 news this week. We finally got to see what Josh Brolin’s Cable will look like, and he did not disappoint.
Lastly, Disney’s bombshell on the world of entertainment dropped this week – they will be launching their own streaming service, which will at the very least spell certain doom for companies like Netflix and Hulu in the coming years. Find out when it drops by watching our video.
