The shuffling of Star Wars writers continues.
The world of Geek was full of interesting news this week! News broke originally that streaming media giant Netflix was approximately $20 billion in debt. What does that mean for the future of the company? For its millions and millions of subscribers?
Next up, The Nightmare Before Christmas is getting a sequel! Though, it might not be the kind of sequel you hoped for, or even expected. The original film came out nearly 25 years ago (where does the time go?).
Nintendo announced that pre-orders will go on sale soon for the SNES Classic. How are they responding after last year’s absurdly low production of NES Classic units? Only time will tell.
Lastly, Star Wars Episode IX is getting a rewrite, and it’s not from Director Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World). What’s up with the constant changing of the guard with Disney’s Star Wars films? The Force Awakens had to be rewritten by JJ Abrams and Lawrence Kasden (The Empire Strikes Back) when Michael Arndt couldn’t get the job done. Gareth Edwards’ original screenplay of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story allegedly had major alterations when it was deemed to be too dark. Now, Episode IX joins the carousel.
