Super Hero Summer at Hong Kong Disneyland Now Open

Tomorrowland, at any of the Disney Parks, is painfully outdated and in need of a major face lift… that is, except at Hong Kong Disneyland.

With the recent opening of the Iron Man Experience and the upcoming attraction starring Ant-Man coming in 2018, Hong Kong Disneyland is already banking on the immense success of the Marvel franchise and it doesn’t look like they’re stopping anytime soon.

The Marvel Super Hero Summer event is now open at Hong Kong Disneyland!

For the first time ever, you can become an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and join the ranks of your favorite super heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Star-Lord, Spider-Man, Black Widow, Thor, and Hawkeye to try and stop the evil schemes of Hydra.

All new recruits will be given a S.H.I.E.L.D. personalized ID and official credentials then it’s off to your hero’s welcome with Captain America. Endless character interactions are available with Spider-Man and Iron Man and (according to Disney Parks Blog), there is an all-new experience called Mission: Dimensions of Danger where Guests help Doctor Strange retrieve the Portal Nexus from Hydra and you can even go on some adventures with the likes of Star-Lord in the Collector’s Museum and Thor in Odin’s Vault.

And to make this summer event an even sweeter deal, Hong Kong Disneyland teamed up with Marvel Comics to offer a limited edition comic book called Iron Man Experience: Hong Kong Heroes #1. This comic is available only at the Super Hero Summer event at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

So how about it? Will you be hopping on the next flight to Hong Kong for the Super Hero Summer event? Luckily for you, Summer of Heroes is also happening at Disneyland in California, which might save you a few bucks on a plane ticket.

What do you think about this Marvel takeover at the Disney Parks? Are you a fan of the updates? Or should superheroes stay out of the Magic Kingdom? Let us know in the comments!
