Sir Paul McCartney to Appear in “Dead Men Tell No Tales”

Pretty certain he won’t be navigating a Yellow Submarine…

For years, Johnny Depp has credited the great rocker, and lead guitarist of The Rolling Stones, Keith Richards, for being the inspiration behind Captain Jack Sparrow and his unusual (albeit memorable) quirky behavior, from his tone to his hand gestures and his facial expressions. The connection that Pirates had with Richards went one step further when, in 2007, Keith Richards actually appeared in At World’s End as Jack Sparrow’s own father, Captain Teague.

Well it looks like The Beatles could not be one upped by The Rolling Stones because we’re about to see another familiar face underneath the Jolly Roger flag. In March, it was confirmed that Sir Paul McCartney of The Beatles is to appear in the upcoming Pirates film Dead Men Tell No Tales.

No word has been mentioned yet as to just who McCartney will be playing or how large of a role it will be. However, last week, Sir Paul posted this brand new poster to his Instagram showing him donned in a grungy pirates garb, a deck of cards in his hand, and the hashtag #PiratesLife.

Is it safe to say that Sir Paul McCartney will be playing a role large enough to get him his very own poster? Personally, if he is not playing Jack’s crazy uncle, I’m going to be thoroughly disappointed.
