The Geek3nd – 6/14/15 – E3 Hopes & Dreams

E3 is this week and The Geekiverse Writers share their wishlist below. We also welcome our new Game & Features writer, Gene Williams.

Josiah LeRoy (@JosiahDLeRoy): It’s almost here! On the Geek3nd before E3, I’m dreaming like it’s Christmas. For my gaming plate: I just finished Assassin’s Creed: Unity. I enjoyed it, but had my share of complaints. Read my review here. I started Battlefield: Hardline and absolutely love the Netflix style campaign. It is underrated. In addition, I hope to get some Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate in on Vita. My hope for E3 is that we finally learn about Visceral’s Star Wars game – which I think is either 1313 Reborn or a Han Solo adventure game. Lastly and most importantly, Happy 1st Anniversary to my wife Lauren!

Andrew Garvey: For my Geekend I’ll continue playing The Witcher 3, and I plan on starting Metro Last Light Redux, which I just grabbed from the Steam Summer Sale. My hope for E3 is that there will be more news/videos from Fallout 4 and Final Fantasy XV!

Chris Austin (@caustin588): I hope to continue with Mortal Komatsu X which I have tragically not been able to play much since I bought it. I will however be exploring my new LG G4 as I recently just moved back to Android. My E3 wishlist includes more from the new Star Wars Battlefront, Rock Band and hopefully more on the recently announced Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.

Nicholas Ramirez: For my Geekend, it’s all about Jurassic World and popping out a few new suggested reading posts for Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Black Widow and Jessica Jones.

Sam Sarvis: For my Geekend, I will get back into the Witcher 3, which is amazing so far. I’m crossing my fingers that there will be more news of Kingdom Hearts 3 at E3 as well as Final Fantasy XV. I will also be working on my Game of Thrones review and wait sadly as the last episode of the season airs tomorrow.

Gene Williams (@Williams2290): For my Geekend, I will be putting countless more hours into my already over 200 hours in Fallout: New Vegas (for the 3rd time) and prepping for Bethesda’s E3 Conference. I don’t think I was even this excited for Christmas as I am for this. Hoping that Bethesda takes the Skill/Level Up system that worked so well in Skyrim based on usage of said skill and adapt that to Fallout 4. Also making the armor sets mix and matchable. Should have a nice article about Bethesda’s E3 shortly.

Jeff Pawlak (JeffreyAPawlak): My mind is still kind of stuck on dinosaurs 24/7 since seeing Jurassic World on Thursday night, what a fun, wild movie! Otherwise, I’n already two episodes deep into the fourth and final season of The Legend of Korra. It’s bittersweet knowing that this is the series’s grand finale, so I’m going to enjoy each and every episode while it lasts. I’m certainly anticipating E3 next week, and above all things, I’m most going for a revival of Metroid Prime. It’s been several years since we’ve seen a Metroid game, and much longer since we’ve seen an entry in the phenomenal Prime series, so I’m pulling for Retri Studios to put Donkey Kong away for a while and return to sci-fi’s greatest heroine herself, Samus Aran.

There you have it, geeks! What do you want to see this week? Let us know in the comments below or visit us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for our week’s worth of coverage on E3!
